Breakfast Crumb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar (1 c. brown and 1 c. white, if desired)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla (if desired)
Preparation

Mix sugar, shortening and 2 cups of the flour.
Take out 2 fistfuls for the crumbs.
Add milk, egg, 1 cup flour, baking powder and vanilla.
(Sift the flour with the baking powder prior to adding it.)
Pour batter into 2 round 8-inch pans or one deep square pan.
