Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. margarine
2 medium onions, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. beef broth (canned is fine)
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
3 c. instant mashed potatoes, prepared according to pkg.
1/4 c. sour cream (optional)
Preparation

Preheat broiler.
In large skillet, melt margarine.
Add onions and saute until translucent.
Add beef and cook until browned, breaking up meat with spoon.
Add vegetables and seasoning and cook, stirring, about 3 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over beef; cook 1 minute.
Add broth and Worcestershire; simmer 5 minutes.
Stir sour cream into potatoes.
Pour beef mixture into a 9 1/2-inch deep dish pie plate.
Top with potatoes.
Broil 5 to 10 minutes.
Makes 6 servings.
