Boiling-Water Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening or lard
    1/3 c. boiling water
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Put shortening in bowl and gradually add water, creaming with fork until well mixed. Add flour and salt.
    For one 2-crust 8-inch or 9-inch pie or two shells.
