Sugared Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. light brown sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. pecan halves
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Combine sugar and sour cream in a large saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook without stirring to 234\u00b0 on candy thermometer or until mixture forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Stir gently until all nuts are coated.
    Pour onto waxed paper.
    Separate the nuts with a fork.
    Let dry.
    Store in an airtight container.
    Yield: 4 cups.
