Tomato Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. fresh tomatoes, peeled
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. butter
    pinch of nutmeg
    3 freshly baked biscuits
Preparation
    Boil tomatoes in medium saucepan for 10 minutes.
    Use no water. Stir in sugar, salt, butter and nutmeg.
    Break biscuits apart and drop in tomato mixture.
    Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
    Serve while hot. This is and old country recipe.\tWe always had tomato dumplings when tomatoes were ripe and in abundance.\tBrown-'n'- Serve rolls can be used instead of biscuits. Tomato dumplings should pass the taste test.
    Sweeten and season to suit your own taste.\tMy mother would explain that this is one of those \"pinch of this and dash of that\" recipes.
