Mother'S Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Warm milk to scalding.
    Beat eggs.
    Add sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in half of the warmed milk.
    Pour the egg and milk mixture into remaining milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
