Bread Custard Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. crumbled bread
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    3 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Combine crumbs and milk.
    Bring to boiling point.
    Add butter.
    Stir into eggs and sugar, beaten light, in pudding dish. Flavor with vanilla.
    Add raisins.
    Surround dish or individual custard cups with hot water and bake in a moderate 350\u00b0 oven until brown or until knife inserted comes out clean, about 1 hour.
