Holiday Punch(Guatemala) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Cinnamon sticks
    Sugar
    Dried fruits (apples, pears, prunes, etc.)
    1 can pineapple, drained
Preparation
    Add sugar to pot of water (use as much water as desired for punch) Add cinnamon sticks and boil.
    Taste at intervals to ensure water has a sweet flavor, add sugar as needed.
    Simmer until cinnamon scent is apparent.
    Add dried fruit and pineapple.
    Simmer for a few minutes until fruit softens up.
    Serve piping hot.
