Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pastry shell
1 c. pumpkin, mashed and drained
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
1 c. evaporated milk
Preparation

Mix pumpkin, sugar, salt, spices, egg yolks, flour and cornstarch.
Scald milk and add to mixture.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Gently fold mixture into beaten egg whites.
Pour into 9-inch pastry shell.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Lower temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake 35 to 40 minutes longer or until silver knife blade inserted into center of filling comes out clean.
