Pecan-Pie Surprise Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 (18 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
4 eggs
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Set aside 3/4 cup cake mix.
In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining cake mix, butter or margarine and 1 egg; mix with fork until crumbly.
Press crumbs into the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
