Canadian Cheese Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large potato, shredded fine
1 onion, chopped
1 c. water
1/2 c. milk (use half and half for richness)
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 large carrot, shredded coarsely
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 c. chicken broth or 2 tsp. chicken bouillon and 1 c. hot water
Preparation

Cook vegetables and water until half tender (in microwave, 12 to 17 minutes).
Add broth and milk and cook until just done (in microwave, 6 to 8 minutes).
Stir in cheese and cook until melted.
