Gram'S Crisp Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. melted shortening
    4 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2/3 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    flour (between 6 to 7 c.)
Preparation
    Mix molasses and sugar; add to shortening, then add soda and boiling water mixture.
    Add flour, salt, ginger and cream of tartar.
    Knead and let set awhile in refrigerator.
    Roll to desired thickness, cut and bake at 350\u00b0.
