Caramel Cream Sandwich Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 unbeaten egg yolk
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and gradually add brown sugar; cream well.
    Blend in egg yolk, then add flour.
    Stir until mixture forms a dough. Chill if necessary.
    Shape into balls size of a marble.
    Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten to 1/8-inch thickness with palm of hand.
    Make a design by pressing with fork in one direction. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes until cookies begin to brown.
    Remove from sheet while warm.
    Place flat sides of 2 cookies together with frosting.
