Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. hot water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. currants
    2 c. shellbark nuts
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Top with big red cherries and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or so.
