California Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean beef (stew or sirloin)
1/2 lb. lean pork, ground
1 large onion
1 large green or red bell pepper
1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
12 oz. can ginger ale (2)
3 oz. chili powder (2/3 c.)
1/4 c. hot Mexican salsa
2 to 3 small jalapenos, diced
1 large clove garlic, diced
10 oz. tomato sauce
10 oz. hot or mild enchilada sauce
4 oz. green chilies, diced
1/3 c. masa flour
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation

Into heavy, deep pot, add meat with a little bacon drippings. Cook until meat is brown.
Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, crushed red pepper, tomato sauce, enchilada sauce and ginger ale.
Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add more ginger ale if liquid is needed.
