Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. quick cooking oats
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan; stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Drop by 1/2 teaspoon on greased and floured cookie sheets. Spread evenly and thinly with a spatula.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 to 7 minutes or until edges are brown.
Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet with large spatula.
Cookies will be very thin and lacy.
Cool thoroughly.
Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
