Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced yellow squash (1/4-inch thick)
    2 c. sliced onions
    2 large green bell peppers
    1 small jar pimento peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. Heinz white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine the sliced squash and next 4 ingredients; cover with ice.
    Let stand about 1 1/2 hours.
    Meanwhile, combine sugar and remaining ingredients (seeds may be tied in cheesecloth bag) in pot and simmer 5 minutes.
