Roast Goose - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 lb.) goose
    Salt and pepper
    1 c. soaked and pitted prunes
    1 1/2 c. peeled, cored and slice apples
    4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Season the goose inside and out with salt and pepper and stuff with apples and prunes.
    Put in a large pan and brown goose on all sides in hot oven.
    Add 4 cups boiling water and baste. Roast for 3 hours at 325\u00b0.
    For crisp skin, pour 2 tablespoons water over the goose and let brown 15 minutes.
    Skim fat from drippings.
    Strain and thicken for gravy.
    Serve with your favorite side dish (red cabbage is good), potatoes and a green salad.
