Cream Of Wild Rice And Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large carrot, shredded
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. plain flour
    8 c. fat free chicken broth
    3 c. wild rice, cooked
    6 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
    1 c. fat free evaporated milk
    1/4 c. chives
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, saute onion, carrot, and celery in butter until tender.
    Spoon in flour and stir.
    Gradually add broth.
    Stir in rice, chicken, salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    Cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes until thick. Stir in milk and cook another 3 to 5 minutes until thoroughly heated.
