Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pie crusts (top and bottom)
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar (light)
2 Tbsp. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon (I use McCormick apple pie spice mix)
1/2 tsp. nutmeg (I use McCormick apple pie spice mix)
6 c. thinly sliced tart apples
dash of lemon juice
2 Tbsp. butter
1 egg yolk`
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
In large bowl, mix sugars, flour, spices and salt.
Add apples; toss lightly to combine.
Put in bottom crust.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Dot with butter.
Place top crust on the apples.
Cut vent to let steam escape.
Flute edges.
Mix yolk with 1 tablespoon water.
Brush on crust.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm with Cheddar cheese or dollop of vanilla ice cream.
