Ingredients

6 bananas
1 box vanilla wafers
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
3 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Combine in medium saucepan over low to medium heat, stirring constantly, sugar, flour, milk and egg yolks.
Cook until thick about 15 to 20 minutes.
Add vanilla and cool in mixing bowl. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar.
Add sugar slowly until thick, bold peaks form.
Layer banana slices over vanilla wafers, then pudding mixture and end with meringue.
Brown in oven.
