Cheesy Corn Jalapeno Muffins - cooking recipe

1 Tbsp butter, softened
1 c all-purpose flour
1 c yellow or white cornmeal
4 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
Pinch cayenne
2 large eggs, beaten
1 c buttermilk
1/2 c vegetable oil, or melted butter
1 c corn kernels
1 1/2 c cheddar cheese, grated
2 Tbsp minced jalapeno peppers, or to taste

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter a 12 - cup muffin tin with the softened butter and set aside.
