Chocolate Cherry Thumbprints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. chocolate chips, divided
2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. maraschino cherries, drained
Preparation

Beat sugar, margarine, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Add 1 cup chocolate chips, melted.
Mix well.
Stir in oats, flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix well.
Chill for 1 hour.
Place 1-inch balls on cookie sheet (ungreased).
Press deep thumbprints in center.
Place cherries in prints.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool.
Drizzle with remaining chocolate chips, melted.
