Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Mix sugar, margarine and vanilla.
    Beat in egg.
    Stir in flour. Mix in nuts and chocolate chips.
    Spread dough in pan.
    Bake until light brown, 12 to 14 minutes.
    Cool; cut into bars about 2 x 1 1/2-inches.
    Makes 3 dozen.
