Baked Sliced Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large baking potatoes
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    2 cloves pressed garlic
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
Preparation
    Cut potatoes in 1/4-inch thick slices.
    Place in a small baking dish.
    Mix butter and oil, then brush over potatoes.
    Pour remaining over potatoes.
    Sprinkle with garlic, salt and thyme. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are done and brown at the edge.
    Serve with Salisbury Steaks, toss green salad and (no water) pound cake and ice cream as dessert.
