The Big Bad Wolf'S Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shortening (for greasing pans)
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. pecans
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan with shortening.
    Melt margarine and chocolate in a large saucepan over low heat.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in the sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and nuts.
    Add the eggs and beat well with an eggbeater.
    Pour the batter into pan.
    Bake for 30 minutes.
    Remove the pan from oven and place it on a rack.
    When brownies are cool, cut them in squares.
    Makes 16 brownies.
