Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
1 1/3 tsp. turmeric
1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
3 onions
6 large cucumbers
Preparation

Pack cucumbers and onions in large jar with a good lid.
Heat remaining ingredients over low heat, stirring frequently.
Do not overcook.
Pour mixture over pickles and onions and seal with the lid.
Store in the refrigerator for a few days.
