Twenty-Four Hour Salad(This Salad Must Be Started The Day Before Serving.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can Royal Anne pitted cherries
    1 can diced pineapple
    1/2 c. chopped almonds
    1 pkg. tiny marshmallows
    2 c. grapes, cut and seeded
    4 egg yolks
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/2 c. cream
    1 pt. whipped cream or Cool Whip
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. granulated gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
Preparation
    Beat the yolks well.
    Slowly add lemon juice, then the cream. Cook in double boiler until thick.
    Add gelatin soaked in cold water.
    Let cool.
    Fold in 1 pint of whipped cream or Cool Whip and combine with the fruit mixture.
    Chill overnight.
    Serves 6 to 8.
