Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates, chopped
    1 lb. candied fruit mix
    1 lb. pecans, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 1/2 Tbsp. sweet milk
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/3 c. fruit juice (pineapple, orange, grape) or sherry
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix dates, fruit (cut fine) and nuts with 1/2 cup flour.
    Cream butter and gradually add sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
    Add spices to the sifted and measured flour.
    Add the dissolved soda to the creamed mixture.
    Then alternately add the flour and liquid. Pour the batter over fruit and nuts, mixing well.
    Drop on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
