Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. cocoa
2/3 c. c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Sift flour; measure and resift 3 times with soda, salt and cocoa.
Cream shortening until soft.
Add sugar and blend thoroughly.
Add beaten eggs and beat vigorously until smooth and fluffy.
Stir in vanilla.
Add flour mixture.
Bake in cake pans at 350\u00b0 until cake springs back at the touch.
