Cheese Wafers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix butter and cheese at room temperature.
    Add balance of ingredients and mix.
    Shape into sausage shaped roll, about 2-inches in diameter.
    Wrap in wax paper and chill.
    You can freeze at this point.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick slices (as for icebox cookies).
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields about 40 wafers.
