Cardamon Braid - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. hot roll mix
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. ground cardamon or 1 tsp. crushed cardamon seed
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. light raisins
Preparation

Prepare hot roll mix according to package.
Add melted butter, cooled, to cardamon and raisins.
Mix well.
Cover.
Let rise until double (1 hour).
On lightly floured surface, knead dough about 1 minute; divide in thirds.
Roll each third underhand to form a strand 10-inches long, tapering ends.
Place strands 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet.
Beginning in middle, braid three strands loosely, working toward either end.
Pinch ends together.
Cover and let rise until almost double (40 minutes, approximately). Brush braid with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Serve warm.
