Christmas Cheese Star - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 10 oz.)
    1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 (4 oz.) jar diced pimientos, drained
    2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    sweet red pepper, cucumber and parsley (for garnish)
Preparation
    Line a 1-quart star-shaped mold with plastic wrap.
    In a large bowl, combine cheeses, pimientos, onion, garlic powder and red pepper using an electric mixer.
    Spoon into prepared mold.
    Cover and chill 1 hour. Invert mold onto a serving plate.
    Remove plastic wrap.
    Use a small star-shaped aspic cutter to cut out stars from sweet red pepper.
    Garnish cheese star with cucumber slices, red pepper stars and parsley.
    Cover and refrigerate until ready to present.
    Give with serving instructions.
    Yield: about 3 3/4 cups cheese spread.
