Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
Preparation
    Boil water and raisins for 5 minutes and cool.
    Sift together the flour, salt and soda.
    Cream together the shortening, sugar and egg.
    Add raisin mixture to dry ingredients.
    Fill 3 medium cans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
