Christmas Nut Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. bottle white corn syrup
    1 can condensed milk
    2 c. white sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook in saucepan the corn syrup, condensed milk and sugar, stirring constantly, until it forms a firm ball when it is tested in cold water.
    Add the butter, nuts and vanilla.
    Do not beat. Pour into buttered pan.
    Cut and wrap when set.
