Pretzel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. broken pretzels
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 large can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Melt margarine and 1/2 cup sugar in a 9 x 12-inch glass pan. Cook until bubbly.
    Pat pretzels into mixture.
    Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool.
    Mix well the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and Cool Whip.
    Spread on cooled crust.
    Mix cornstarch into pineapple in saucepan.
    Cook until thick.
    Cool and spread on mixture.
