Ingredients

2 c. ribbon cane syrup
3 eggs
1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. allspice
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 tsp. soda in water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Bake at 350\u00b0 on greased cookie sheet 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool and cut in squares.
