Five Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef stew meat
    1 slice bread, broken
    3 or 4 potatoes, cut up
    6 or 7 carrots, cut up
    1 c. diced celery
    2 onions, sliced
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. tapioca
    1/2 c. water
    1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Just mix all together, then stir occasionally.
    Bake 5 hours at 250\u00b0 in a covered pan.
    Real good!
