Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
    14 oz. caramels
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix cake as directed.
    Grease or spray Pam on a 9 x 13-inch pan (or two 8 x 8-inch pans).
    Pour half of batter into pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, melt butter, milk and caramels together.
    Remove cake from oven.
    Pour caramel mix over cake.
    Sprinkle with chips and nuts.
    Pour other half of cake batter on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    When cool, may dust cake with confectioners sugar or each piece with a dollop of Cool Whip.
