Wassail Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. apple cider
    1 1/2 qt. cranberry juice cocktail
    1 1/2 to 2 c. brown sugar
    3 cinnamon sticks
    3/4 tsp. whole allspice
    1 tsp. whole cloves
    orange wedges
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar and juice in large saucepan or percolator. Stud orange wedge with cloves and add to mixture.
    Put other spices in percolator basket and perk or tie in cheesecloth and add to pan.
    Bring to boil.
    Cover and simmer at least 10 minutes. Remove spices.
    Serve warm with orange slices.
