Oklahoma Watermelon Punch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large watermelon
1 1/2 pt. strawberries, topped and washed
3/4 c. sugar
1 pt. strawberries, sliced
1 large can frozen pink lemonade
2 1/2 c. vodka (optional)
fresh mint leaves for garnish
Preparation

Top watermelon and remove pulp.
Remove seeds.
Set watermelon cavity aside and remove enough hull for cavity to stand evenly. Process pulp in blender or processor in batches until smooth. Strain into large bowl until juices measure 7 cups.
Blend 1 1/2 pints of strawberries with sugar until smooth, about 15 seconds. Stir into watermelon juice with lemonade and vodka.
Chill 2 to 3 hours.
When ready to serve, fill melon cavity with punch.
Top with sliced berries and garnish.
Makes about 3 quarts.
