Japanese Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped raisins
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. chopped citron
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. powdered cloves
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar, creaming well.
    Separate 2 eggs; leave 2 whole.
    Add whole eggs to creamed mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Then add yolks, beating smooth again.
    (Save the 2 egg whites for the filling.)
    Sift flour and sift again with baking powder.
    Add to rest of batter mixture, alternating with milk, beating smooth each time.
