Walnut Streusel Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    3/4 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. walnuts, chopped
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg and ginger
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour milk
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Combine 2 cups flour and sugar; cut in butter to form crumbs in medium bowl.
    In small bowl, combine 3/4 cup of the crumbs and 1/4 cup walnuts; set aside.
    Into remaining crumbs, stir in remaining 1 cup flour, baking powder, spices, baking soda, salt and remaining 3/4 cup walnuts.
    Combine sour milk and eggs and stir into dry ingredients.
    Spoon into lined muffin tins.
    Fill 2/3 full.
    Top each with a generous spoonful of crumb mixture. Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen.
