Jello Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. family size Jell-O (any flavor)
    1 cake mix (white or yellow)
    1 pkg. Cool Whip
    small jar cherries
    small can sliced pineapple
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed; cool completely.
    Make Jell-O and chill.
    Put pineapple and cherries on bottom of cake pan.
    Put Jell-O on top of pineapple and cherries.
    Put whipped cream on top of Jell-O, put cake on top of whipped cream, then pour rest of Jell-O all around sides of cake.
    Let stand in refrigerator for about 4 hours.
    Set in hot water for a few seconds.
    Turn upside down on plate.
    Cake will fall out.
