Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. light brown sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. light corn syrup
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly.
    Add the eggs, syrup, salt, and vanilla extract.
    Beat well.
    Pour into 9-inch pastry shell.
    Scatter pecans over top of mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, until firm.
    Serve with whipped cream.
