Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. prepared rhubarb
    1/3 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix first 9
    ingredients in order given.
    Spread half batter in 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Add rhubarb and spread remainder of batter over the top.
    Sprinkle with white sugar mixed with cinnamon over it and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
