Pineapple Cream Cheese Pie - cooking recipe

1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. crushed pineapple
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine 1/3 cup sugar with 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1 cup crushed pineapple.
Cook until thick and clear.
Allow to cool. Combine cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar and salt.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Pour pineapple mixture into bottom of unbaked 9-inch pie shell; then add cream cheese mixture.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 5 minutes; then turn oven temperature back to 325\u00b0 and continue baking for approximately 55 minutes.
