Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pitted dates
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. chopped pecans
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Line angel food tube with brown (sacks) paper.
    Cut all fruit and nuts into small pieces.
    Add dry ingredients; mix.
    Beat eggs and vanilla.
    Pour over mixture; mix well.
    Pour into pan and bake 2 hours at 250\u00b0.
