Hamburger Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground meat
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (20 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    2 c. water
    2 cans consomme
    1 c. tomato soup
    4 carrots, sliced thin
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 c. chopped, fresh parsley
    1/2 tsp. dried thyme
    1/4 c. macaroni
    freshly ground pepper
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in a frypan.
    Drain well.
    Combine all ingredients, except pasta and pepper in a large pot.
    Simmer, covered, for at least 2 hours.
    Add pasta and simmer 15 minutes. Season with pepper.
    Makes 10 servings.
