Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour pans.
    Put sugar, shortening, egg whites, vanilla and milk into a large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
    Pour into prepared pans and bake at 350\u00b0 until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or about 25 minutes.
    Cool and frost with Seven Minute Icing and coconut.
